A Beautiful Family

As a photographer you get to be there for all the rushing, anxiety, smiles and tears that only the bridal party and close family get to experience on a loved ones wedding day. So it was such a priviledge for me to be there to capture these memories for one of my best friends and her groom on their special day. Evan and Stephs wedding day came with special circumstances, not only did they become husband and wife but also a family of three as Evan's gorgeous daughter excitedly welcomed her new mom into thier lives.

I love all the little details on a wedding morning! But I am always nervous when I ask to photograph the brides engagement ring! Imagine I misplaced it. . .

One of three flower girls. They were adorable.

I guess I should have said family of four. Steph would not want me to leave out Coco as part of the family!

The girls and I went to a local "sweet shop" for pictures. I'm sure not all the customers were too pleased when we took over the space even jumping behind the counter for some fun shots!

I loved the "back in the day" feel of the train station where we photographed the wedding party.

The similarity between Evan and his daughter was impossible to miss. She is his spitting image!

We didn't paint the graffiti ourselves so thanks to whoever did!

Steph is the youngest of all these sisters!! It was so neat when her dad did his speech as he saw a little bit of each in Steph's personality. . .

Attention to detail!! The reception venue was adorable!! Everything matched and nothing was forgotten!
I absolutely love this one!! There were a few girls who looked ready to commit murder in order to snag that bouquet!! So much fun!
Evan and Steph I could not have asked for a better way to enjoy the day with you!! I had a lot of fun and I know you did too ( just try to forget that unattractive moment where I couldn't get up off the ground; inside joke:) You are a beautiful family and I pray that the Lord watches over you as you grow together in Him.

First comes love,

Than comes marriage, than come the babies in the baby carriage. And what fun they are to photograph!! Often children leave no option but to shoot candid and natural pictures. As was the case with these two cuties. No they aren't twins just a brother and sister very close in age. We drove to a park in Grimsby for these photos so they had a chance to play on the swings and play ground in between pictures . . .

After adding these pictures I realized that its been awhile since I've done a family or child portrait session so I thought I'd try something kind of fun. In honour of starting my new blog, and in an effort to get some pictures posted I'd like to offer a free family portrait session to the first three people who mention this post and would like to help me update my online portfolio. As far as time frame at this point August or September are the best months So just give me a ring if you'd like to have some pictures with your kiddies:) . . .

And wedding season begins. . .

The first wedding of the season for me was in early May. Trevor and Corrine woke up to a wet morning and not even the superstitious broom in the tree could ward off the rain. But this did not dampen their spirits. They had a super fun wedding party comprised of family and friends and everyone was ready to have a good time. I started the day out at the brides house where the bridesmaids and especially the bride were getting beautified. . .

This is one of my favourites!

We had a sudden burst of sunshine for the five minutes Corrine needed to get to the car. It could not have been more perfect!

The groom was all smiles as he waited for the bride to arrive. . .

The happy couple, now husband and wife!

With so many boys in the family we had to go James Bond style for at least one picture!

Finally a girl in the family for the grooms sister. . .

The ring bearer and flower girl were adorable and so cooperative for every picture. They wanted to be in all of them. . .

What a beautiful day. I wish you the Lord's blessings and many years of happiness together Trevor and Corrine!
